Couple looking for a cozy retreat
First off, the staff here are just very nice. It’s like they can read your mind, I mean. And the food? Unbelievably good! I still can’t get over that sticky toffee pudding-Charlie’s grandma must have a magic touch or something!
It wasn’t exactly low-priced, but it was worth every penny.

During my stay, I found the room really clean and tidy, with lovely and friendly staff making the experience even better, which was perfect for my weekend city strolls. It's also just a short distance from the beautiful Hurtwood & Pitchhill Walk, offering breathtaking views and great paths for an enjoyable walk in nature.

Fantastic Atmosphere and Delicious Food
I had a wonderful one-night stay in a Deluxe King Room, where the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it hard to leave the premises. The professionally run establishment boasted a friendly team, and I particularly enjoyed Charlie's sticky toffee pudding from his grandma's recipe. The only downside was that I didn’t get a chance to try dinner, but the breakfast had an excellent range of continental options.

good amenities but needs better room maintenance
The self-service continental breakfast impressed me with its variety and accessibility. The spacious restaurant area created a pleasant dining experience that stood out during my stay.
Unfortunately, the room had some maintenance issues that detracted from the overall comfort.

The Superior King Room was spotlessly clean and well-appointed, featuring quick hot water and useful USB sockets. Staff provided welcoming service, and the continental breakfast included ample milk sachets and even a chocolate bar, enhancing convenience and enjoyment. the pub's layout felt overly restaurant-focused, lacking a vibrant bar atmosphere, and the towels were quite small.

An exceptional experience highlighted by exquisite food, including grilled steaks and unique dishes that elevated the dining experience. The welcoming atmosphere and beautifully refurbished family suite made for a delightful stay, perfectly suited for our mother's birthday celebration. The generous portions and thoughtful presentation of the meals stood out, but the only drawback was the slight noise from the bar area during the evening.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
Our stay in the Deluxe King Room offered great comfort, though cleanliness in the bathroom could be better. While the kitchen was closed, we appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. I recommend asking in advance about amenities like hairdryers for a smoother experience.

Lovely place in a quiet village. My Deluxe King Room was really nice, came with a flat-screen TV, great shower, and coffee machine. Breakfast was help yourself with tons of options. The food was insane! The chef's homemade biscuits and glazed beetroot on salmon were amazing. It’s all recently renovated, felt super clean and modern.
